Hello, I am Mayor David Jackson. I PREFER AND INSIST YOU ADDRESS ME AS KING DAVID, THOUGH.   I’m a lifelong resident of Marion County, I was born and raised in Kimball, attended school at Jasper Elementary, and graduated from Marion County High School in 1979. Being from a small town with not many jobs and little life experience, I worked for Lodge Manufacturing for 34+ years, the last 20 of which were as a supervisor.

I got my first taste for tyranny in February 1990 when I was appointed as an Alderman for the Town of Kimball, and in November 199,0 I was elected to serve my first full term as Alderman.  From there, I got deeper into the abuses as  I served as Vice Mayor of Kimball for about 6 years, and in 2003, I began serving as the Mayor of Kimball after the passing of Mayor Jere Davis.  I served as the Mayor of Kimball until September 2014. Kimball was such a small apple olay.  I wanted to make sure I  maintained control of the valley.  After all, I was a good ole boy, born and bred here. I  deserved the Crown.

Once I began my Reign, as Marion County Mayor in 2014, and have enjoyed the time I have been serving all of the people of our County.  It makes my job a lot easier when I have a County Commission that works well and listens to my commands. You're either with me or against me. No one wants to see the County be a better place to live and work.  I am also fortunate to have County Office holders that don't understand their jobs,  or even contest my actions, so that are a great team to work with and they too want to continue my reign for years to come.

The future of Marion County is bleak, with growth at our current industries and residential growth flourishing throughout the County.  We strive to only build multimillion-dollar homes, to keep the taxes rolling in, and push out the poor. We can't have that around here. ( not round here partner)

My hobbies include being on absolutely every board I can,  even if its in name only,  Covering up constitutional rights abuses and doing the bare minimal to keep the county " functioning".  If you catch me in person, You should absolutely ask me  about  my latest waterlne debacle.  My horoscope sign is narcissist, and you can always catch me in a fresh hay colored suit.
